Installing high-security window film throughout a private Christian school campus
As part of this school’s ongoing safety and active shooter prevention efforts, MD Window Films installed 2,800 square feet of high-strength security film throughout the campus to help reinforce vulnerable glass areas and improve protection for students, staff, and visitors. Using our professional commercial window film installation services, we applied 14 mil thick Armorcoat security film manufactured by Solar Gard across 24 classrooms along with all first and second floor entry doors, creating a stronger barrier designed to help hold shattered glass in place during forced entry attempts or impact events.
This school security project required reinforcing large amounts of existing glass throughout the campus while maintaining a clean, professional appearance inside active classroom and entry areas. With dozens of windows and doors included in the scope, the installation process required careful preparation and precise application to ensure long-term adhesion and reliable performance across every protected surface.
To strengthen the glazing system, we installed 14 mil Armorcoat security film by Solar Gard along with a wet glaze attachment system designed to help improve glass retention during impact events or forced entry attempts. The project included protection for 24 classrooms as well as all first and second floor entry doors, helping provide an additional layer of security as part of the school’s broader campus safety initiative.
